Conservation

In order to ensure that the development enhances and does not destroy the beauty of its location, a number of the requirements of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System will be used.  This requires that significant attention be paid to the efficient use of water, energy and the atmosphere and materials used in construction. With respect to water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, there will be a sewage treatment system and the water generated from this system will be used to water the gardens.  Solar and other forms of technology will be utilised to generate electricity and every attempt will be made to use environmentally friendly materials during construction.   Clean disposal of all wastes will be a hallmark before, during and after construction.

Every effort will be made to preserve and enhance the assets that form part of the historical value of the development.  Great attention will be placed on not disturbing the ecological balance and maintaining the environment for the birds and animals that live in the nature reserve, the river and the ocean offshore.   Attractions that seek to capture, store and reuse the run-off from rain will be used to add efficiency to water use while providing visual entertainment and relaxation for guests and residents of the development and hotel.
